Oldest Marathon Runner?

Abe at age 90.Abe Weintraub may be the oldest man in history to take up running. Weintraub, 90, started running just after his wife died 10 years ago. Last year, the Brooklyn native completed 16 New York Road Runners Club races, including the New York City Marathon, which he finished in 8:10.

Weintraub is part of a group called the Ash Can Runners - four men over the age of 80. Last March, the foursome finished the PowerBar 20-Mile Run and Relay around New York in 6:02. "We've been active all our lives, and we can't be content with sitting still," says Cahrles Feldman, one of the team members. "But we need inspiration, and Abe is incredible."
